Anand S. Rao
Contact Anand S. RaoAnand Rao is a Partner at Diamond with over 16 years of industry and consulting experience, helping senior executives structure, solve and manage critical issues facing their organizations. His has worked extensively on both business and technology issues across a wide range of industry sectors including, financial services (retail, corporate, and investment banking, payments, and insurance), telecommunications (mobile and fixed-line), aerospace, retail, and resource sectors.
While at Diamond Anand has advised leading financial services organizations and global telecommunications companies. His work has included risk management and compliance, customer value management, multi-channel integration, segmentation and proposition development.
Prior to joining Diamond, Anand was a consultant at Mitchell Madison Group at their Australian office. Prior to that, Anand was Chief Research Scientist at the Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute, a boutique research and software house developing real-time knowledge-based systems for aerospace, defense, and telecommunications clients. He was also instrumental is setting up Agent Oriented Software, a software house specializing in advanced decision support systems. Anand has also co-edited four books on Intelligent Agents and has published over fifty papers in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in major journals, conferences, and workshops.
Education
Anand holds a MSc(Tech) in computer science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in India and PhD in computer science from University of Sydney, where he was awarded the University Postgraduate Research Award. He received an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
