Dave Baker is a Partner and the Chief Architect at Diamond. Dave is responsible for defining Diamond’s Enterprise Architecture service offerings. For clients, Dave develops business and technical blueprints that enable strategic business initiatives. Dave’s specialties include identifying leading-edge technologies, guiding innovation projects, as well as defining and justifying strategies for applying technology. In addition, Dave also leads architecture assessment and implementation efforts. He regularly assists clients with the definition of their architecture organization, skills, and governance processes. Dave has worked in a variety of roles for Diamond’s clients, including chief technical architect and acting chief technical officer.

Dave’s recent client projects includes closing a loop marketing solution blueprint for a $50 billion pharmaceutical company as well as creating a enterprise-wide business and systems architecture blueprint for a $500 million membership-based provider of best practices research. He has created a financial management system blueprint for a $25 billion federal agency and worked on two, multi-year strategic technology plans for one of the largest healthcare insurance companies covering their voice application and financial management domains. Additionally, Dave is a regular presenter at the Enterprise Architectures Conferences held in the spring and fall of each year.

Education & Affiliation

Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science with minors in management and psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. He also has completed part-time graduate studies in computer science at the University of Texas. Dave is also a Certified Federal Enterprise Architect.
