Experienced Hire Recruiting Process

The experienced hire interviewing process is designed for candidates not enrolled in a degree program at the time of their candidacy. In most cases, we undertake a three-step interviewing process in which we assess a candidate's experience and/or potential in several areas:

This process is designed to facilitate knowledge transfer about Diamond to each candidate that interviews with our firm.

Phone Interviews

We schedule an initial phone interview with one of our recruiters. During this interview, you learn a great deal about Diamond. We'll also begin making sure your background fits the parameters of what we are seeking in a new employee. The recruiter wants to learn about the work-related experiences, motivations and skills you will bring to the Diamond team. It's during this conversation that expectations will be set regarding the timeline of follow-up interviews and decision deadlines.

A follow-up phone conversation is scheduled between a practice professional and yourself to further assess the breadth and depth of your skills (core content skills, industry depth, communication, etc.)

The Interview Day

Based on the outcome of the initial interviews, we invite candidates to one of our offices for several interviews with key individuals in practice areas to which they most closely align. During the day, candidates will meet with several members of the firm in both case-based and behavioral interviews. This is also the time for candidates to have all of their outstanding questions answered. We structure the course of the day to explore many different aspects of a candidate's background, career motivations, and areas of interest within Diamond.

The Decision

You can anticipate a decision from Diamond rather quickly. One of the members of the Diamond Recruiting team with whom you met will contact you to communicate our final decision, typically within one week of final round interviews. Feel free to contact the recruiter with any questions still outstanding; since your decision will be required should we come forward with an offer!

Note: It's not unusual for us to ask you to come back and meet further with individuals, or to speak with another Diamond employee via telephone. We may realize a better fit in our organization at any point in the interviewing process, and may therefore need you to meet more people from a different area of our firm.
