Roles and Responsibilities

At Diamond, each consultant progresses through a level-by-level career path that will help you learn new skills and take on new challenges as you're ready for them. Generally speaking, reaching Partner takes Senior Associates approximately six to eight years and entry-level Analysts ten to twelve years.

Analyst to Associate

Recent undergrads begin life at Diamond as Analysts. After thorough training to arm you with the skills you'll need, you will be introduced into a new consulting project. There, you will be given the opportunity to contribute your ideas and skills from the very first day. As you continue to progress through your career at Diamond to Associate, your role will involve many similar skill sets, yet at advanced levels.

Senior Associate

New MBAs and experienced candidates generally join Diamond as Senior Associates, where you will be immersed in research and analysis of a client's finances, strategies, operations, support processes and competition. As you grow professionally, you'll be able to build upon your industry knowledge while developing important business skills.

Senior Associates focus on:


Manager

As a Manager, you will begin to cultivate your knowledge as an industry expert. At the same time, you will focus on management skills by leading your own teams and taking a more visible role in client relationships. You may also be asked to participate in training new consultants.

Manager responsibilities include:


Principal

As a Principal, management skills will prove essential. Consultants at this level are fully vested with project and team management. You'll be charged with fostering new client relationships.

Principals concentrate on:


Partner

By the time a person achieves Partner at Diamond, you've gained solid consulting skills and experience that can be put to work for the company at large. Responsibilities shift to being involved with many teams, individuals and clients, as well as nurturing new ideas and directions for growth.
