Mel Bergstein is the (non-executive) chairman of the board of Diamond Management & Technology Consultants, Inc. (NASDAQ: DTPI), a premier management and advisory firm serving Global 2000 clients worldwide.

Mel co-founded Diamond in 1994 and served as chief executive officer until April 2006. Under his leadership, Diamond grew into a leading, publicly held consultancy, working collaboratively with a long list of blue-chip clients to develop and implement growth strategies, improve operations, and capitalize on technology.

Prior to founding Diamond, from 1991 to 1993, Mel served in executive management roles at Technology Solutions Co. Earlier, he spent two years at CSC Consulting, where he played a leadership role as senior vice president of systems integration. His consulting career unfolded first during 21 years with Arthur Andersen & Co.’s consulting division (now Accenture). A partner in that firm from 1977 to 1989, Mel managed major client responsibilities. He served as managing director of worldwide technology from 1985 to 1989, was elected to the board of Arthur Andersen twice during that period, and also served as chairman of the firm’s Consulting Oversight Committee.

Mel is a member of the board of directors of Simon Property Group, where he chairs the Compensation Committee and is a member of the audit committee. He is also a member of the Kellogg Dean’s Advisory Board. Mel is a trustee of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and an active member of the Executives’ Club of Chicago, the Commercial Club, the Economic Club, the Standard Club, and the Chicago Club.
